Trop, Pruner & Hu, P.C. is an intellectual property ("IP") law firm. We are different.  We have a non-pyramid structure of seasoned attorneys who personally handle our clients’ work — with technical proficiency and economic efficiency.  We have real experience in IP law along with degrees in electrical and biomedical engineering and years of practical engineering experience.

Specifically, we help clients obtain and register patents. Our patent attorneys are registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  We prepare patent applications in high technology fields, including semiconductor circuitry and devices, memory devices, digital and analog electronics circuitry at the system and board levels, computer architectures, networks and systems, digital imaging technology, consumer electronics, communications technology, software technology, oil field equipment technology, power systems technology and medical devices.

We protect IP worldwide. Through our large network of relationships with attorneys in foreign countries, we obtain and register patents in foreign countries and provide counsel in licensing and enforcement of those IP rights.

We have real trial experience — with excellent results. With broad legal and technical expertise, we handle complex cases efficiently. Our patent related cases have involved technologies as diverse as automotive electronics, digital video technology, computer technology, and pipeline rehabilitation. The firm is open to innovative litigation fee arrangements.

Finally, we provide high quality legal services at a fair cost. We work with clients to ensure legal costs remain balanced with business objectives. Budgets are provided and are reviewed regularly to ensure effective cost control.
